Slate Roof Replacement on a Classic Druid Hills Home

This is exactly the kind of home that deserves to be protected the right way. A beautiful brick colonial in Druid Hills - the kind of property where the details matter and cutting corners isn't an option.

We're heading into a full slate roof replacement here. And for a home like this, that's not a small decision. Slate is one of the most durable roofing materials available, but it requires a crew that actually knows how to work with it. Not every roofer does.

Here's the thing about older homes in established Atlanta neighborhoods - they've held up for decades because the right materials were used from the start. When it's time to replace the roof, you want that same level of quality going back on. A sloppy replacement on a home this well-built is a waste. We don't approach it that way.

Druid Hills homeowners tend to be particular about who they let work on their properties. That's completely fair. These homes have character and history, and a roof replacement should honor that - not just get the job done fast and move on. We take that responsibility seriously.

Waiting on a roof that's showing its age is one of those things that always costs more in the end. Small issues become water damage. Water damage becomes structural repairs. Getting ahead of it - especially before winter sets in - is the smart play for any homeowner.
