This Sandy Springs build is the kind of job we genuinely enjoy. Modern architecture with clean lines and dark metal panel cladding - every detail has to be intentional. A standard round downspout just wouldn't cut it here. So we fabricated and installed a custom conductor box paired with a square downspout that fits the aesthetic of the building and handles water the right way.

Here's why this matters more than just looks. A conductor box is the transition point where water leaves the roof drain and enters the downspout. When it's fabricated correctly, it channels water efficiently and reduces the risk of backup, overflow, or long-term damage to the building envelope. On a flat roofing system like this one, that drainage detail is critical - not optional.

The square downspout profile matches the geometry of the building perfectly. You can see how it runs flush against the corner of the structure, creating a tight, intentional line from the roofline all the way to grade. That's not something you get with off-the-shelf parts. That's custom sheet metal work built specifically for this job.

Flat roofing systems live and die by their drainage. You can have the best membrane money can buy, but if water isn't moving off the roof quickly and cleanly, you're going to have problems down the road. Custom fabrication lets us solve drainage challenges in a way that's both functional and visually sharp - and that's exactly what we did here.

Every building has its own set of constraints and design goals. When standard products don't meet both of those, fabricating a custom solution is the right call. It protects the investment and holds up over time.
